Enabling Encryption
Encryption can be enabled after creating a certificate. This section describes how to enable encryption using the Web
page.
When encryption is enabled, the communication is immediately encrypted after the setting is changed from the Web
page.
Open the Web page of this machine.

For information on starting the Web page, refer to “Starting the Web Page”.
Log in as the administrator.
Select [Admin Setup].
Select [Network] > [Security] > [SSL/TLS]
Select [Enabled] for the protocol to encrypt.
Click [Submit].
Exporting a Certificate
This section describes how to export a certificate using the Web page.
The computer may request the certificate of the machine, depending on the function performing communication via
SSL/TLS.
In order to enable the computer to request the certificate of the machine, import the certificate of the machine that
has been exported to the certificate store of the computer.
Open the Web page of this machine.

Log in as the administrator.
Select [Admin Setup].
Select [Network] > [Security] > [SSL/TLS]
Select [Export Certificate] to export the certificate.

The certificate is exported in the PEM format.
