Adjusting the Paper Sensors (Sensor Calibration)

If paper jams or paper mark detection errors occur frequently, follow the procedure below to perform sensor calibra-

tion.

For the paper with black mark, cut it so that the black mark is at the leading edge of the paper, and then load it.

Print area

Feed Direction

The paper sensors are adjusted to the position suitable for the paper to use.

Adjust the paper sensors to a suitable position, as they cannot be correctly calibrated unless they are

in a suitable position.

For details, refer to "Setting the Paper Sensors".

Confirm that [READY TO PRINT] is displayed on the machine.

Press

button several times to display [MENUS], and press «OK» button.

Press

button to display [SENSOR CONFIG], and press «OK» button.

Press «OK» button when [SENSOR CALIBRATION/EXECUTE CALIBRATION] is displayed.

When [PLEASE REMOVE PAPER/YES] is displayed, remove the paper from the machine.

With [YES] flashing, press «OK» button.

Load the paper in the machine when [PLEASE LOAD PAPER] is displayed.

The procedure is complete when [READY TO PRINT] is displayed.
