Setting-Up VENTILATOR Mode
Q-NRG is designed to be used both with and without Heated Humidifier in the inspiratory limb of the patient
circuit. Refer to the following table for proper use of accessories and their position in the different configurations.

*Place the FiO2 adapter right after the filter when an antibacterial filter is present at the inspiratory port of the
Ventilator.
Note: Patient’s tolerance to the additional filter dead space should be addressed before test execution.
Note:
Ventilator and accessories may differ from the examples shown in the images below; presence of the
antibacterial filter at the inspiratory port of the ventilator is always recommended.
Heated Humidifier and Standard Filter Set-Up
Make sure to connect the Q-NRG to the patient circuit as shown below as quickly as possible.
1. Connect single use sampling line between the “Ventilator” port of Q-NRG and the inspiratory limb of the
patient circuit through the dedicated FiO2 adapter placed at the outlet of Humidifier.
2. Connect single use sampling line between the “Patient” port of Q-NRG and standard filter.
3. Connect the Flow-REE and filter in series with the patient circuit as shown.
4. Wait for the automatic calibration (approximately 1 min) and press
Start
when completed.
