To Power on the Device
1. Power on the device by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button for two seconds.
2. Wait for a 5 minute warm up before starting the measurements.
Selecting or Entering Patient Data
Before starting a test, the Q-NRG requires a patient to be selected (new patient entered or one selected from
database)
Note: Some patient details (Last Name, First Name, Height and Weight) are mandatory to start the
measurement. Missing or incorrect values can be edited.
To Enter New Patient Data
1. Tap
New Test
and then
NEW PATIENT
.
2. Enter Last/First Name, DOB (Date of Birth), Gender, Weight and Height. This information is also required to
calculate predicted values for REE.
To Select Existing Patient
1. Tap
NEW TEST
and then
SEARCH PATIENT
.
2. Select the patient you desire and tap
ok
to confirm the selection.
3. Edit the patient information, if necessary, tap
ok
to confirm.
Test Mode
Tests can be performed in three different modes, as described in Device Overview section:
• VENTILATOR Mode – Ventilated subjects.
• CANOPY Mode
– Spontaneously breathing subjects.
• MASK Mode – Spontaneously breathing subjects.
