The blower calibration is achieved by comparing a known volume (calibration syringe) against the volume
measured by the system and calculating the correction factors (expiratory and inspiratory gain).
Note: ONLY use 3-liter “low flows” calibration syringe (REF C00600-02-11) which ensures the injection of
flow rates comparable with resting patient exhalation.
To calibrate the Blower
1. Connect the calibration syringe to the Canopy inlet port of the device using the blower calibration adapter,
as shown in the image below.
2. Start the calibration procedure following the on-screen instructions
3. Perform the required number of syringe strokes paying attention to cover the whole motion range in 8-12
seconds.
Turbine/External Flowmeter – (MASK Mode)
The turbine calibration is achieved by comparing a known volume (calibration syringe) against the volume
measured by the system and calculating the correction factors (expiratory and inspiratory gain).
Note: ONLY use 3-liter “low flows” calibration syringe (REF C00600-02-11) which ensures the injection of
flow rates comparable with resting patient exhalation.
Note: To prevent cross-contamination, always disinfect the Turbine according to Cleaning and Disinfection
instructions before connecting to the syringe.
To calibrate the Turbine
1. Make sure that flowmeter electrical cable is connected to the device.
2. Connect the turbine to the calibration syringe using the turbine calibration adapter as shown in the image
below.
3. Start the calibration procedure following the instructions prompted on the screen.
4. Perform the required number of strokes paying attention to cover the whole motion range of the syringe.
