Load five or six envelopes with the
address side up and the flap to the left
(toward the front of the machine)
. Set
the envelope side guides against the stack
of envelopes
.
IMPORTANT
• The envelope side guides should contact the
envelopes lightly. If the guides are set too
tightly, the envelopes will not feed properly
and a paper jam may result.
• Printing on the back of envelopes cannot be
performed.
• If using ISO-B5 envelopes, close the flaps and
feed top first as shown.
9
Load the remaining envelopes
, and
lower the envelope pressure plate
.
IMPORTANT
• Make sure that the height of the envelope
stack does not exceed the limit mark
.
• Do not load more than 100 envelopes at one
time, even if the stack does not reach the limit
mark .
• Do not press down on the stack of envelopes.
This places excess strain on the envelope
feeder and can cause paper jams.
• If the stack is not aligned, press lightly on the
back edge of the stack to align the envelopes.
NOTE
• The stack of envelopes should be angled
slightly toward the back.
