Neatly stack your originals face up in the 
original supply tray. 

IMPORTANT

• After copying begins, do not add or remove origi-

nals. 

NOTE

• STMT-size originals can only be placed vertically.
• Before placing the following types of originals in

the feeder, fold open the auxiliary tray:
- 11"x17"/LGL/LTR-size originals (horizontal 

placement)

- STMT-size originals (vertical placement)
- Different-size originals

• You can place different-size originals together in

one group in the feeder using the Mixed Original
setting, provided that the sizes are of the same
length such as LTR with 11"x17". (See “Feeding
Different-size Originals Together in the Feeder,”
on p. 3-8, and see “Adjusting Scan Settings,” on
p. 4-27.)

• Once scanning is completed, originals are output

to the original output tray in the same order face
down.
