About Mail Boxes
The machine provides User Boxes for temporary storage of documents as well as a preset Memory
RX Box for storing incoming I-fax documents and fax documents (if the optional fax board is
installed).

User Boxes
User Boxes are used for temporary storage of documents after scanning. Documents in User
Boxes may be sent, printed, moved between boxes, or deleted. The machine enables you to store
documents in up to 100 different User Boxes, and to set names and passwords for individual
boxes.

Memory RX Box
The preset Memory RX Box is used to store incoming I-fax and fax documents. This box has a ini-
tial setting that causes documents to be automatically deleted as soon as they are printed
or sent.
NOTE
• User Boxes are set to delete documents after three days. To change this setting, see “Setting Automatic
Deletion of Documents,” in the Reference Guide.
• The descriptions and examples in this chapter relate to User Boxes. The preset Memory RX Box is men-
tioned only where procedures differ from User Boxes.
