Erasing Shadows and Frame Lines from Copies 

(Frame Erase)

This function enables you to erase shadows and lines that appear when copying various types of
originals. The following three Frame Erase features are available.

NOTE

• The Original Frame Erase and Book Frame Erase feature cannot be combined with the Entire Image,

Image Combination, or Image Separation feature.

• The Binding Erase feature cannot be combined with the Entire Image, Two Page Separation, Image Com-

bination, or Image Separation feature.

Original Frame Erase
Erases the dark borders and frame lines that appear around the original image when your original
is smaller than the selected paper size.

●

Book Frame Erase
Erases the dark border and the center and contour lines that appear when copying facing pages
in a bound original onto a single copy sheet.
