Turn the scanner
power switch on the
right side of the scan-
ner to ON.

(2) When a fax is being sent, wait for
the fax job to end, and then repeat
the operation. Increase the
compression ratio or reduce the res-
olution for send jobs. If the error still
occurs adjust images to
skip the background, or set sharp-
ness to “Low.” (See “Setting the
JPEG Compression Ratio,” in the
Reference Guide
, and see “Using
Scan Settings,” on p. 4-25.)
