Making Copies Using the Basic Functions
Reserved Copying
The machine enables you to begin making copies by scanning an original into memory while the
machine is warming up or a print job is being processed. The scanned original will then be printed
as soon as the warm-up or print job is completed.
NOTE
• The machine’s memory can hold approximately 2,000 total pages, including originals scanned by other
functions (LTR-size, Canon Standard Chart No. 1, using Standard settings).
• Up to 5 reserved copy jobs can be set for local copying, but only one reserved copy job can be set for
remote/cascade copying.
1
If the Copy Job Monitor screen is displayed,
press the [Done] key to close it.
NOTE
• If any documents are currently being scanned,
the [Done] key will not operate.
2
Place your originals, and enter the desired
copy settings.
NOTE
• During scanning of originals, only copy settings
can be entered.
• If you are scanning several sheets of originals for
Reserved Copying without entering any particu-
lar copy settings, use the feeder.
• If no copy settings have been entered, only one
original sheet can be scanned from the platen
glass.
