This operating mode is used for repositioning the metal sheet. The metal sheet is
clamped in position PUP with the help of the tool system and the clamping jaws are
opened, repositioned and closed again. In this way, metal sheets can be machined
that are larger than the maximum travel of the X-axis.
This function can also be selected for machining metal sheets with a wheel.

The operating mode “bottom stroke with stop in PUP“ differs from the operating
mode “forming with stop in PUP” only in that the switching integrator is not active in
position PUP like in operating mode “bottom stroke“. This operating mode is used
for repositioning like operating mode “forming with stop in PUP“.
The operating mode “forming with stop PUP using 2 start signals“ differs from the
operating mode “forming with stop in PUP“ in that the punching axis does not
automatically return to position POP after the forming time elapsed. Returning to
position POP is initiated by a second start impulse at IN2.
The downstroke velocity can be set by means of R parameter 421. A value of 200
mm/s for R421 NRG is the optimum value for most of the applications.
