When changing over to operating mode 52, automatic zero point correction is
started. The correction is completed when output OUT7 of the HNC100 is set to
High.
8.1.15 Testing the machine functions
▶
Test the machine functions and monitor HP for falling below 200 bar and LP for
breaking down to below 60 bar.
▶
Monitor whether the control deviation in PTE remains permanently at <0.05 mm.
If required, re-adjust the zero point of the high-response valve.
8.1.15.1 Checking the function with the help of a reference punching stroke
Overshoots occurring while approaching POP cannot be corrected. In the case of
a stroke frequency of about 1000 strokes/min with mechanical stripper, the
punching cylinder, when performing an up-stroke, is often faster than the springs
that pull the punching tool out of the metal sheet. This causes the punching
cylinder to briefly lose contact with the punching tool. When the punching
cylinder has reached its position POP above the metal sheet, it comes quite
abruptly to a standstill, and the slower punching tool hits the cylinder. This is
reflected in the actual position value of the punching axis. Shortly after having
reached position POP, an unavoidable overshoot occurs.
When operating the system at max. punching rate and at different stroke lengths
check the system for pressure breakdowns. MND must not fall below 60 bar.
The following figures show reference strokes for the individual SYEPS punching
systems:
