10.2.1 Inspection for leakage
Inspect the complete SYEHL punching axis for leakage. The early detection of loss
of hydraulic fluid can help identify and remedy defects on the machine or system.
Rexroth therefore recommends that the SYEHL punching axis and the machine be
kept clean at all times.
10.2.2 Check for generation of noise
Check the complete SYEPS hydraulic system for the generation of noise. The
generation of noise or an increase in the noise level can indicate a possible failure of
one or several components at an early time and helps avoid consequential damage.
10.2.3 Check of mounting elements
Inspect the mounting elements for proper fit. Inspect all of the mounting elements
while the system is switched off, depressurized and cooled down. If necessary,
secure screws of the mounting elements against loosening using Loctite 243.
10.2.4 Check of operating temperature
Check the operating temperature under comparable load conditions. The maximum
operating temperature is 50 °C; 60 °C is permitted briefly.
10.2.5 Check of gas charge pressure
Losses of nitrogen on hydraulic accumulators are usually very small. However, in
order to prevent the bladder or diaphragm from being destroyed when the gas
charge pressure p0 falls, we recommend that the gas precharge pressure be checked
at regular intervals.
The precharge pressure p0 indicated on the circuit diagram or on the accumulator
label must be set after each installation or after repairs and then be checked at least
