Open the folder “Slot card 1” in the control window on the left. The tree structure
branches into three sub-items, with which you can select the configuration options
“S1 Digital encoder” and “S1 Analog encoder/Analog output” and show the pinout of
the CPU under “S1 System inputs/System outputs”.

9.3.1.1 Configuration of the digital encoder

1.

Select the desired encoder type in the selection window “Global (AO) Slot card
1 (S1) Settings” under “Encoder (digital)”.

2.

Click the button next to “S1.ENC“ in the window “Global (AO) Slot card 1 (S1
Settings)” to open the window “Global (AO) Slot card 1 (S1) Digital encoder
S1.ENC”.

3.

Select the direction and set the resolution in the window “Global (AO) Slot card
1 (S1) Digital encoder S1.ENC”.

Open the dialog window “S1 Digital encoder” under the selection “Slot card 1”
and select the desired encoder type in the drop-down menu “S1.ENC“.

2.

Then select the direction of the encoder and enter its resolution.
