WARNING
Systems not shut down!
Risk of injury! The work steps described in these operating instructions may only be
performed on shut down systems. Before beginning work:

Make sure that the drive motor cannot be switched on.
▶
Make sure that all power-transmitting components and connections (electrical,
hydraulic) are switched off according to the manufacturer’s instructions and
secured against being switched on again. If possible, remove the main fuse of
the system.

Ensure that the system is completely hydraulically unloaded and depressurized.
Please follow the system manufacturer’s instructions.
▶
Only qualified personnel (see Chapter 2.4 “Personnel qualification“ on page 13
are authorized to install the SYEPS punching system.
Non-observance of functional safety!
In the case of mechanical and electrical defects, e.g. failure of the power supply,
persons may get caught, catapulted or crushed by the installation.

When engineering your circuit, observe functional safety in accordance with, for
example, EN ISO 13849.
High pressure!
Risk of injury caused by ejecting oil jet due to rupture of the weakest system
component.
▶
Shut the system down when an oil jet is ejecting and replace the damaged
components.
▶
Protect the pressure in the system by means of an overpressure element.
▶
Direct the tank line freely to the tank without narrowing in the cross-section and
without any shut-off feature.
▶
Use hydraulic lines and connections in accordance with the maximum operating
pressure.
Lines under pressure!
Risk of injury due to ejecting parts and hydraulic fluid under pressure.

Never disconnect, open or cut pressurized lines or remove pressurized
components!
▶
Before carrying out any installation or other work, depressurize the control
system and unload the hydraulic accumulator.
Hydraulically incorrectly activated components!
Risk of injuries, crushing, getting caught due to improper hydraulic activation and
unexpected startup.

Take account of safety functions when engineering the punching machine!
▶
If necessary, provide light barriers or safety guards.
