10.1 Cleaning and care
NOTICE
Solvents and aggressive detergents!
Aggressive detergents can damage the seals on the SYEPS punching system and
cause them to age faster.
▶
Never use solvents or aggressive detergents.
Ingress of contaminants and fluids!
This will result in the fact that safe operation of the SYEPS punching system can no
longer be ensured.
▶
When carrying out any work on the SYEPS punching system, observe strictest
cleanliness.
▶
Do not use high-pressure cleaners.
For cleaning and care of the SYEPS punching system, observe the following:

Plug all openings with suitable protective caps/devices.
▶
Check that all seals and plugs of the plug-in connections are securely seated to
ensure that no moisture can enter the SYEPS punching system during cleaning.
▶
Remove coarse dirt from the outside of the machine and keep sensitive and
important components such as solenoids, valves and displays clean.
▶
Use lint-free cloths for cleaning.
10.2 Maintenance and inspection schedule
WARNING
Uncontrolled machine movements!
Risk of injury while carrying out maintenance work on life systems!

Unless expressly prescribed otherwise, switch the machine off with the master
switch, lock it and remove key.
The SYEPS system requires little maintenance, if you use it as intended.
In order ensure a long service life and reliable operation of the SYEPS system,
Rexroth recommends that you inspect the SYEPS system regularly at the following
inspection and maintenance intervals and document the following operating
conditions: The individual maintenance steps are described in the following
chapters.
