In the case of software errors, the associated error code is shown in the process
datum “fault“. How the value can be read out and evaluated by the higher-level
control is described in Chapter 9.3.5 “Data transmission” on page 105.
To change to the failsafe mode, the enable IN1 must be withdrawn on the HNC100.
This results in clearing of all error messages, and the HNC100 changes over to the
failsafe position just as after the start-up of the machine. The operating mode is
reset to the mode set in the R parameter “Boot mode“.
For safety reasons, punching machines must always move the hydraulic axis to the
upper positive stop in the case of a failure. For this reason, the high-response valves
used with the SYEPS punching system feature a failsafe function that allows the axis
to be moved to the upper positive stop in the event of a fault. Withdrawing the
enable signal on the valve is the fastest way of achieving this. The response time of
the enable input is only a few milliseconds, and this method should therefore be
preferred over the disconnection from the supply voltage. In conjunction with
Standard-Performance axes, moving to the upper positive stop is achieved by
withdrawing all inputs.
On the front panel of the HNC100, 3 small LEDs are provided below the voltage
connector that signal the current operational state.
3,3V
The LED is green to signal that the voltage supply of the HNC100 is ok.
RUN
The LED is green to signal that the HNC100 has been initialized and the firmware is
running.
BUS
The LED is green to signal that the connected Profibus works properly.
