If the device cannot retrieve the file server address, the wizard displays the next
configuration screen.
5. If the device successfully configures itself through DHCP or Device Enrollment Services
after connecting to the network, press
Complete
to exit the wizard and go to the device
Home screen.
Else, continue with the next step.
6. On the Avaya Configuration Type Selection screen, choose one of the following:
•
Email based configuration
: Choose this option if your administrator instructs you to
use your corporate email ID for an automatic configuration of the device.
•
Manual configuration
: Choose this option if you have the file server address and group
information from your administrator.
7. If you select
Email based configuration
, on the next screen, type your corporate email ID
and tap
Next
.
Based on the domain in your email address, the wizard retrieves the available file server
setup. Go to Step 10.
8. If the wizard prompts you to choose from a set of file server environments, select the one
suitable for you or the one your administrator instructs you to use, and tap
Next
. Go to
Step 10.
9. If you select
Manual configuration
, on the Avaya Vantage Configuration screen, complete
the following configuration information:
•
File Server
: The configuration file server address.
•
Credentials
: User name and password that the device uses for file server
authentication. Provide these credentials if the file server requires HTTP authentication.
For example, in an Open SIP deployment on the BroadWorks Device Management
server, Avaya Vantage
™
requires these credentials to authenticate itself with the server
and download configuration files.
•
GROUP
: The user group identifier for a specific configuration set for the device. The
group information is optional. Enter the user group identifier if you receive it from your
administrator.
Contact your administrator to obtain the appropriate file server address and group value for
your deployment environment. If the device requires credentials for server authentication,
your administrator can provide the details.
10. Tap
Complete
.
Result
The device takes you to the Home screen. The device starts downloading configuration and
software update files in the background. After the downloads are complete, the device might
restart to apply updates.
