Making a call on a bridged line using Expansion Module
About this task
Use this procedure to make a call on behalf of another user by selecting the user’s bridged line on
Expansion Module. For example, as a secretary, you can make a call on behalf of your boss.
The virtual keyboard on Expansion Module supports special characters. Therefore, you can enter
a phone number in the E.164 format that is prefixed with the plus sign (+).
Your administrator must configure the bridged appearance of the other extension onto your
extension.
Procedure
1. Navigate to the Avaya Connect Expansion Module application.
2. Tap the button for the bridged line number that you want to use to make the call.
3. Enter the number you want to call, and then tap
Enter
to start the call.
Answering a call on a bridged line
About this task
An incoming call to the bridged line triggers call alerts on both the bridged line owner’s extension
and the secretary’s extension. When an incoming call arrives, the bridged line indicator on
Expansion Module blinks with green and red lights. You also receive an incoming call alert on
Avaya Vantage
™
built-in UC experience.
Procedure
To answer the call, do one of the following:

Joining a call on a bridged line
About this task
As a boss or secretary, you can join an ongoing call to the bridged line.
For example, if the secretary makes or receives a call on behalf of the boss, the Avaya Vantage
™
built-in UC experience on the boss's device indicates that there is an ongoing call to the bridged
line. The boss can then tap on the active bridged call indicator to join the call.
