Automatic pairing of Expansion Module with Avaya Vantage

When Expansion Module and Avaya Vantage

built-in UC experience are available on the same

device, then they can support automatic pairing.

Embedded Avaya Kiosk application with Avaya Vantage

™

The Avaya Kiosk application comes embedded with the Avaya Vantage

™

software image. The

device administrator does not need to push the application to Avaya Vantage

™

. To run Avaya

Vantage

™

in kiosk mode, the device administrator can lock this application on the device Home

screen using the PIN_APP parameter.

Avaya Spaces digital calling

Avaya Vantage

™

supports the over-the-top digital calling feature in Avaya Spaces that facilitates

point-to-point communication between two Spaces contacts.

Release 3.0 introduces the following:

Hardware improvements

Avaya Vantage

Release 3.0 devices contain enhancements to performance specifications,

including higher CPU performance, increased flash memory, and better video quality.

Other hardware improvements on the Release 3.0 devices include:

• A new micro HDMI 2.0 port for external HDMI support.
• A dedicated USB 3.0 Type-C port for external power input.

Out-of-the-box experience improvement

Avaya Vantage

™

Release 3.0 provides an improved out-of-the-box experience with the following

simple initial setup options:

• Avaya Setup Wizard: The wizard guides you through the required initial setups, including

language, network mode, and device configuration options. The wizard provides two device

configuration options: manual or automatic configuration. The automatic configuration is

based on your corporate email address. You can choose to proceed with the manual

configuration when you have the file server address.

• Automatic device configuration based on email address: From the setup wizard, you can

discover the file server environment based on the domain in your corporate email ID. The

wizard can auto-discover the file server through DNS service discovery.

™

continues to support the following options to discover the file server:

• DHCP over both Ethernet and Wi-Fi
• LLDP over Ethernet
• Device Enrollment Services discovery over both Ethernet and Wi-Fi
