The device starts downloading configuration and software update files in the background. After the
downloads are complete, the device might restart to apply updates.
If the device could not automatically obtain the file server address from DHCP, LLDP, or Device
Enrollment Services discovery, the device displays the Avaya installation wizard to help you set up
the device. If there is no network connectivity, the installation wizard is displayed to help you select
the Wi-Fi mode and configure the Wi-Fi network.

using the Avaya installation wizard
About this task
When you power up a new Avaya Vantage
™
device for the first time or perform a factory reset, and
the device configuration is not completed automatically, the Avaya installation wizard is displayed
to help you set up the device. If there is no network connectivity, the device displays the
installation wizard to help you set up a connection to a Wi-Fi network.
Note:
You can skip the installation wizard and configure the file server address and the group
manually from
Settings
>
Network & Internet
>
More
>
File Server
.
Procedure
1. On the Welcome screen, choose your preferred language.

(Optional)
To enable accessibility features, such as Magnification and TalkBack, tap
Vision Settings
.
3. On the Avaya Configuration Mode Selection screen, choose how to connect the device to
the network.
•
Ethernet Mode
: Use an Ethernet cable to connect the device to the network.
•
Wi-Fi Mode
: Select a Wi-Fi network for a wireless network connection.
4.
(Optional)
If you set the network mode to Wi-Fi, do the following to connect to a Wi-Fi
network:
a. On the Connect to Wi-Fi screen, select the required network from the available Wi-Fi
networks.
b. For a wireless network that requires authentication, enter the network credentials and
select the appropriate CA certificate option from the following:
•
Use system certificates
•
Do not validate
c. Tap
Connect
.
After you connect the device to the network, it attempts to obtain the file server address
through DHCP or Device Enrollment Services discovery.
If the device successfully retrieves the file server address, it starts downloading
configuration and software update files. The wizard displays the Device configured screen.
