Device models
The Avaya Vantage
™
device without a camera is called K175 without camera. The K165 model
name is now obsolete.
Avaya Vantage
™
built-in UC experience
As of Release 3.0, you do not need to set up Avaya Vantage
™
Connect or Avaya Workplace Client
as the active telephony application. Instead, you have the Avaya Vantage
™
built-in UC experience
to access communication features, such as:
• Audio and video telephony
• Conferencing
• Calendar
Login screen mode
With Avaya Vantage
™
3.0, the device always displays the Android Home screen after a start-up
unless you set a lock screen password. To use the Avaya Vantage
™
built-in UC experience, you
can log in from the Home screen using your SIP or unified credentials.
You can choose to change to the platform login mode, which is similar to the login mode supported
in Releases 2.x and earlier, through device parameter configuration. In the platform login mode,
you can access the Home screen only when your login using SIP or unified credentials is
successful.
Avaya Spaces integration
Avaya Vantage
™
comes with Avaya Spaces, a cloud-based team collaboration and meeting
application. You can integrate the Avaya Vantage
™
built-in UC experience with Avaya Spaces for a
quick access to the Avaya Spaces application or to join a Spaces meeting from the
Calendar
tab.
NFC support
Avaya Vantage
™
supports Near-Field Communication (NFC). You can share application
information, such as audio and debug reports, with other NFC-enabled mobile devices using
Android Beam. An embossed NFC logo near the speaker indicates the place to put your NFC
device for using Android Beam.

™
Release 3.0 includes the following security enhancements:
• Secure boot support.
