The most important parameter is again the name of the virtual network or tunnel, in this
example 030827CADC61, and the number of the terminal to communicate, within the VPN is 32
(maximum 28 user panels and 4 control PCs).
For information and for maintenance control purposes, when activating the virtual network or
tunnel, the connection parameters are indicated on the right half of the screen.
To start the service, you have to load a "tunnel" file provided by AEQ for that specific network,
with the "Add Tunnel" option that appears at the bottom left. Then it must be activated.
From then on, the "
AEQ Xpeak
" configuration application will show the remote devices on the
network that are connected to the Internet, as if they were in the same location as the local
devices.
As mentioned, the configuration file for the "
WireGuard
" client software is provided by AEQ with
the systems when purchasing the remote virtual network license. If you don't have this file and
need to work in different locations, please contact AEQ support via email
.
5.3.3.2. Local panels configuration.
The devices at the site must have an outgoing Internet connection, in order to reach the virtual
network server in the cloud and be able to communicate with the remote devices.
In a corporate environment, we generally won't be able to use DHCP (automatic IP addresses).
Usually, we will have static IP addresses, so it will be necessary to contact the administrator for
the management of IP addresses and gateway. The parameters required for each Xpeak device
when there is no DHCP server will be:
•
IP address.
•
Network mask.
•
Gateway.
