In the case of the "
GP Out
" command, the drop-down menu that appears below "Target" allows
you to select the GPO that will be activated on the target when the button is pressed. In this
case, only Xpeak_R, Xpeak_D, Xpeak_BP and Xpeak_IF type devices appear in the "Target"
list, which are the ones that have GPOs (this command is not applicable to the Xplorer wireless
terminal or to groups).
The "
Label
" field allows us to configure the name that will be assigned to the
button (which is usually referenced to the "Target" device). If we use the
default label it will appear written in white on the display, while if the text is
changed it will appear in cyan.
By default, labels are configured combining upper and lower case so the
action assigned to the button is easily recognized from the label itself:
1.
Talk:
Only the first letter in uppercase. Example:
Xpeak_bp
2.
Listen:
All lowercase. Example:
xpeak_bp
3.
Talk & Listen:
All uppercase. Example:
XPEAK_BP
4.
Remote One Way: First three letters of the source in uppercase, right arrow and first three
letters of the target in uppercase. Example:
BP1->BP2
5.
Remote Two Ways: First three letters of the source in uppercase, dual arrow and first three
letters of the target in uppercase. Example:
BP1<>BP2
6.
GP Out:
All uppercase (same as Talk & Listen). Example:
XPEAK_BP
In the case of the
Xpeak_R
and
Xpeak_D
panels, on
whose levers two functions can be programmed, the
label is always associated with the function
corresponding to pressing down. If two functions have
been configured on a lever, the application will show
the function associated with pressing up in the text
box that appears when the cursor is placed over the
upper half of the button (it changes from grey to
yellow).
In the "
Key function
" section, the button's operating mode is selected. In "PTT" mode, the
command is only executed when the button is pressed and held (and deactivated when
released). In "Latch" mode, the command is executed when the button is pressed and is
maintained when it's released; in order to deactivate it, you have to press the button again. The
"Normal" mode is a combination of the previous ones: a short press on the button works in
"Latch" mode (the command is executed when the button is pressed and is maintained when
the button is released), while a long press works in "PTT" mode (releasing the button
deactivates the command).
