IP Intercom System

When connecting this port to a PC by means of a proper USB cable, the PC will
automatically detect a new audio device (that is displayed as “USB Audio CODEC”). Audio
towards the intercom system can be sent from any audio playback software as if it was an
external professional-grade soundcard. Also, audio from the Intercom can be recorded on
the PC using any audio recording software. This audio comes from the channels which
have been routed to the corresponding output.
This virtual sound card is “plug&play" under Microsoft Windows™ and Apple Computer Mac
OS™, operating system, and they don’t require any specific driver.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Shielded cable is required to make the connection between the USB
port and PC.
4.
2 GPIOs multi-pin connector. A 10-pin, 3.5mm pitch pluggable connector can be found. A
screw-terminal male block is provided with the unit. As seen from the rear, and from left to
right, the + and – pins for each of the two GPIs are available. Then, a 5V supply output and
ground, and then the + and – pins for each of the two GPOs.
5V supply is provided to bias external devices such as transistors closing the GPO contacts.
Connecting a 4K7 ohm resistor in series with every circuit is recommended. In any case,
max. supplied current is 50mA, so the equivalent resistance between +5V and GND must
always be >100 ohm.
