DHCP:

  Enables  or  disables  automatic  IP  address  configuration.  When  this  menu 

entry is highlighted, pressing the "SELECT" key checks or disables this option. 

 

o

 

IP:

 Allows us to modify the IP address of the beltpack. 

 

 

 

When accessing this option, the first digit of the current IP address is selected. By 
turning  any  of  the  two  encoders,  the  number  can  be  substituted  by  another. 
Numbers from 0 to 9 can be chosen (the figure that can be configured in each octet 
is limited between 0 and 255). 

 

By pressing the key 2 ("NEXT") we can move to the next number in order to modify 
it  the  same  way.  By  pressing  the  key  1  ("PREV")  we  can  move  to  the  previous 
number.  Once modified,  the  new  IP  address  must  be  confirmed  by  pressing  "OK" 
(or changes can be discarded by pressing "CANCEL").

Mask  prefix:

  Configures  the  mask  of  the  subnet  the  beltpack  is  connected  to.  Its 

max. length is 32 bits (up to 255.255.255.255). 

 

 

 

By turning any  of the two  encoders, the number can be modified. By  pressing the 
key 4 ("RESET") you can return to the initial value. 

 

If you are not used to this format, remember that: 

 

 

24 bits is equivalent to mask 255.255.255.0 

 

16 bits is equivalent to mask 255.255.0.0 

 

  8 bits is equivalent to mask  255.0.0.0

Gateway:

  IP  address  of  the  gateway  to  external  networks.  It  is  configured  just  in 

the same way as the beltpack’s IP address. 

 

o

 

DNS:

 IP address of the Domain Name Server to be used. It is configured just in the 

same way as the beltpack’s IP address.
