Zoom and shift functions
Zoom and shift functions
Zoom function
The Zoom function allows you to analyze a detected event in greater detail.
Using the Zoom function in combination with the Event function allows you to
quickly verify any uncertain events.
The zoom of the display is made around the selected cursor. If <Cursor AB> was
selected the zoom is made at the mid point between the cursors.
The position of the displayed part of the trace with respect of the complete trace
is located by a (grey or yellow) line on the top of the trace window. The cursors
are represented by small vertical dot on it.
To gain access to the zoom function:
•
Select a cursor and put it at the point of the trace to verify
•
Press the <
Shift
> key in order to display
Zoom
•
Use the "<" and ">" keys to zoom in and out.
Note
To reset the zoom and see the full trace, press and hold simulta-
neously the "<" and ">" keys.
Successive zooms on each event
•
Zoom in on one of the event.
•
Press the <Event> key.
•
Use the "<" and ">" keys to move successively the display window on each
event.
Shift function
The Shift function allows you to shift the trace on the screen using the arrow
keys.
The Shift is centered on the intersection between the selected cursor and the
trace. This allows to scroll horizontally the trace on the screen, following
vertically the trace, thus maintaining the trace in the screen.
To gain access to the shift function:
•
Select eventually a zoom level.
•
Press the <
Zoom
> key in order to display
Shift.
•
Use the arrow keys to shift the trace in the chosen direction.
