The directory whose files are listed is highlighted.
Use the arrow keys to move from one window to another or to select a file or a
directory in a window.
Bottom window
The bottom window has the name of the selected file. It recalls the following
parameters of this file, in order to facilitate the selection:
•
For file containing a macro or a logo: the type of file
•
For files containing an OTDR trace: its «Memory info» and acquisition
parameters on 2 or 3 lines:
title, operator, cable id, fiber number
origin, extremity, direction, acquisition date and time
module, wavelength, pulse, range, average time,
(comments
•
For files containing OTS measurement results
title, operator, cable id, fiber number
origin, extremity, direction
module, serial number, version, measurement date, number of memories
Finding files
To locate a file:
1.
Press the
FILE
key, then select the storage medium, Internal or optional Hard
disk or optional Floppy disk.
The name of the selected directory is displayed on the following line (DIR).
2.
Press the
<
Explore
>
key.
The following menu is displayed (if the hard disk has been selected).
3.
Select the directory where the file is stored, then press the <Open dir> key.
The list of files contained in this directory is displayed.
4.
Select the required file with the
→,
then
↑
and
↓
keys.
Note
To have a faster movement of the cursor, if scrolling by using one of
the
↑
and
↓
arrow keys, maintaining pressure on this key causes the
cursor to skip 3 files at a time.
Selection of several files
It is possible to select several files in order to delete them, print them or copy
them on another media.
The selected files are highlighted (yellow with a color screen).
•
Move the cursor to the first file as described above, then press the <Select>
key. The cursor then moves to the following file.
•
If a several consecutive files must be selected, then press the <Select.> key as
many times as required.
•
If there are several non-consecutive files to be selected, then move the cursor
to each file and press the <Select.> key.
