If the configuration can be recalled it is possible to make an acquisition with the
same conditions as those of the recalled trace.
Note
If, during the acquisition of the trace, the OTDR was equipped with
a different type of module to the current module, certain configura-
tion parameters will not be able to be set. An error message will
notify the user of this problem.
Loading only the trace:
1.
Find the file as described above.
2.
Press the <Load> then the <Trace> keys.
•
If the lock markers icon
is displayed, the trace is loaded and a
measurement is started with the current locked markers. This allows several
traces to be measured using the same markers.
•
If the lock markers icon is not displayed, the trace is loaded with its
associated measurements.
A floppy disk icon
or internal memory icon
is displayed in the title
bar of the display while the trace is loading. Once the trace has been loaded the
MTS
e
gives a warning tone and the trace is displayed.
Loading a trace with the configuration:
1.
Find the file as described above.
2.
Press the <Load> then the <Trace + config.> keys.
•
If the lock markers icon
is displayed, the trace is loaded with all the
parameters defined in "Loading an OTDR trace" on page 8-19 and a
measurement is started using the current locked markers.
•
If the lock markers icon is not displayed, the trace is loaded with all the
parameters defined in "Loading an OTDR trace" on page 8-19 and its
associated measurements.

1.
Find the file as described above.
2.
Press the

then the <Table> key.

gives a warning tone and the table is displayed.
Deleting a file
Use the procedure given page 8-18 to locate the file(s) to be deleted, then:
