Using the OTS module

MTS

e

instrument at the time interval selected with the Auto Time
function described below.

User Select

Selection of the any wavelength value between 800 nm to
1650 nm in 1 nm steps, using the arrow key <- or ->.

Time Auto

Choice of the time interval between measurements for
Autostore or Autoprint. This interval can be a period
(between 1 second and 11 hours 59 minutes and 59
seconds), in 1 second increments. It is selected by the
Arrow key <- and ->.

Real Time

Choice of the real time or averaging mode. When this mode
has not be selected the power meter is, by default, in
averaging mode.

Unit

Selection of the measurement unit:

W, dBm

or

dBr

.

Ext. Attenuator

Entry of the value (0 to 30 db) of an external attenuator, if
one is being used. It is selected by the Arrow key <- and ->.

Alarm Threshold

Selection of the required alarm threshold (-70 to +30 dBm).

OTS Results Window

The OTS Results window contains the Light source display and Power meter

display. These are only displayed if they have been selected from the Instrument

Setup window and if they are available.
Depending on the selection made they are either both shown together or only the

single selected unit.
The <Source> and <Power meter> softkeys select either the Light source or the

Power meter functions in the OTS results window.
A key also provides the results in memory to be displayed.

Note

When this memory is recalled with both the Power meter and Light

source windows, the Light Source window is reduced to a single line

at the bottom of the screen.
