mode is selected, the output power is calibrated (CAL).
In the
"Emul. OLS»
mode the signal is alternated every 4 s.
in order to be compatible with the TwinTest mode of the
OLS and OFI Acterna series.
Power
Mode only available with laser sources.
Choice of the output power of the laser source:
CAL: Output power calibrated at 1 mW i.e 0 dBm.
VAR: Variable power from 0 to - 10 dBm.
Note
The
Power
option is only available if the continuous signal (CW)
mode has been selected and the Scanning mode is NOT selected. If
this is not true the output power is calibrated by default.
Unit
Choice of the transmitted power unit: W or dBm.
Selecting Power meter parameters
You can choose the following Power meter parameters from the
Power meter
menu of the
OTS Test Setup
window
1
:
Wavelength
Selection from:
Auto, 850nm, 1310nm, 1550nm
or
User.
(
Selecting the User wavelength allows you to select the
exact wavelength you require with the
User Select
menu
option described below).
User Select
Selection of the any wavelength value between 800 nm to
1650 nm in 1 nm steps, using the arrow key <- or ->.
Note
The
User Select
menu option is only available if User has been
selected from the
Wavelength
menu option.
Range
The measurement range of the power meter:
Auto
,
mW
,
µW
or
nW
. If Auto is selected the optimal range is chosen for
the Power meter acquisition.
Mode
Selection of the measurement result storage method:
None
,
Autostore
or
Autoprint
.
None
: No measurement results are stored.
