OPMI Lumera i Preparation for use
• Unscrew securing screw (4) by a few turns.
• Remove binocular tube (5).
• Attach the new binocular tube to the microscope body and firmly tighten
securing screw (4).
• You can install additional accessories between the binocular tube and the
microscope body. Lock these modules in position in the same way using
securing screw (4).
• Take the widefield eyepieces out of their seating on the binocular tube.
Because the eyepieces are magnetically held in place, it is necessary to
apply some force.
• Insert the new widefield eyepieces (7) as far as they will go in the mounts
(6) intended for them. The magnetic coupling reliably secures them in
position.
• Unscrew the objective lens (3) out of the microscope body by turning it
counterclockwise.
• Turn new objective lens into the threaded mount on the microscope body
as far as it will go.
• Loosen friction adjustment knob (1) again and perform the balancing
procedure.
After changing tubes, eyepieces, or the objective lens, you have to adjust the
relevant parameters in the “System Settings” menu to ensure that the total
magnification of the system is correctly displayed (see Page 124).
