12) Put the piston rod (11, Fig. 3 ) together
with the piston (12) into the flange (2).
Make sure that the piston and piston rod
move freely.
13) Apply Never Seez NSBT8 to the threads
and surfaces that touch on the 12 Allen
screws(3).
14) Tighten symmetrically with your hand
the 12 Allen screws (3). Make sure that
the piston rod (11) and piston rod (12)
can move freely.
15) Torque symmetrically the 12 Allen
screws (3) to 17 Nm. Make sure that the
piston rod (11) and piston rod (12) can
move freely.
16) Lubricate the new O-ring (10).
17) Put the new O-ring (10) on the cover (5).
18) Apply Never Seez NSBT8 to the threads
and surfaces that touch on the two Allen
screws(4).
19) Attach the cover (5) to the flange (2) with
the two Allen screws (4) to 7.0 Nm.
5. Installation
1) Make sure that the dowel pins (7 ) are in
the fuel rail.
2) Clean the sealing surface of the FLV (1)
and the fuel rail (13).
3) Put a new lip seal (9) in position.
4) Carefully put the FLV (1) in position on
the fuel rail (13).
5) Apply Never Seez NSBT8 to the threads
and surfaces that touch on the 10 Allen
screws (6).
6) Attach the FLV (1) to the fuel rail (13)
with the 10 M10 Allen screws (6).
7) Torque symmetrically the 10 M10 Allen
screws (6) to 35 Nm.
6. Completion
1) Attach the fuel leakage pipes (14, 15) to
the FLV (1).
