Connection Sleeve 

−

Installation

Note: Engines that have a clockwise

rotation have  left hand threads on

the gear wheel and the connection

sleeve.

1) Make sure that the shaft (1, 

Fig. 3

) and

the connection sleeve (2) are clean and

have no damage.

1) Put the connection sleeve (2) on the

shaft (1).

2) Attach the tool (94582). Do not attach

the intermediate ring.

3) Apply oil to the connecting piece

(94582A).

4) Tighten the connecting piece (94582A).
5) Use the holding device (94582D) to hold

the connection sleeve.

6) Fill the HP oil pump (94931) with engine

oil that has a viscosity of SAE30 to

SAE40.

Note: In unusual conditions, cylinder

lubricating oil can also be used.

7) Connect the connecting piece (94582A)

to the HP oil pump (94931), refer to

9403

).

8) Apply a maximum pressure of 2000 bar

until oil flows out between the shaft and

the connection piece (94582A).

9) Put oil on the special nut (4).
10) Torque the special nut (4) to 220 Nm.

The special nut must touch the distance

sleeve when the connection sleeve is in

the correct position.

11) Decrease the pressure to zero.
12) Remove the tools and equipment.
