The Chassis MIB 3-7
For the MP/16, it is not possible to add or remove modules as you
might in a Total Control Network Hub chassis. The number of
slots remains constant, as well as the entities for the modules that
correspond to those slots.
The following diagram displays how slots are defined for the Total
Contol MP/16.

The way an entity index is computed is by the formula:
EI=(1000*S)+E
Where: EI is the entity index
S is the slot number of the card on which the entity
resides
E is the entity number (E=0 for card-level entities)
The following table reflects the entity index for the 16 modem
channels in the MP/16. Slot 3 refers to the MP/16 management
module (NMC), and always has an entity index of 3000.
