Using Total Control MIBs
Known Types
Under the uchasKnownTypes sub-tree of the chassis MIB are a
number of OID (object ID) definitions to be used as values within
objects of the chassis MIB. OIDs defined under
uchasKnownModules are NAC identifiers used as values for
uchasSlotModuleType in the slot table. OIDs defined under
uchasKnownEntities are to be used as values for
uchasEntityObjectID in the entity table.
Chassis Commands
uchasCmdTable
A general description of the basic concepts of all command tables is
found earlier under
Command Tables
. This section contains
information specific to the chassis command table.
This table is indexed by slot number. It contains commands that
are common to all cards and are activated at the slot level. The
following describes the commands available from this table.
uchasCmdTable Command Descriptions
Command
Description
noCommand(1)
This is the default value for uchasCmdFunction.
Setting uchasCmdFunction to this value will
abort any command that is currently in
progress.
removeFromService(2)
Not supported in the MP/16.
restoreToService(3)
Not supported in the MP/16.
hardwareReset(4)
In a situation where the software level reset
command is not sufficient, the Network
Manager may resort to this command to restore
functionality to a device. Performs a hardware
level reset to a specific modem channel in the
selected modem module (slot number), as
defined by the
Param
object of the
uchasCmdTable. The value for this parameter
must be an ascii character ‘1–8’ (Hex 31–38).
