1.
Turn the instrument OFF, unplug the power cord, and remove the
cover.

Remove the I/O expansion board (optional), if used. See “

” on page
7-34
.
3.
Disconnect the digital output board ribbon cable from the
motherboard.
4.
Using the nut driver, remove the two standoffs securing the board to
the rear panel (
Figure 7–16
).
5.
Pop off the digital output board from the mounting studs and remove
the board.
6.
To install the digital output board, follow the previous steps in reverse.
Use the following procedure to replace the motherboard (
Figure 7–15
).

Nut driver, 3/16-inch
Equipment Damage
Some internal components can be damaged by small
amounts of static electricity. A properly grounded antistatic wrist strap
must be worn while handling any internal component.

Unplug all connectors from the motherboard. Note connector locations
to facilitate reconnection.
