At the Initial S/R Ratio screen, press
to
select set the initial S/R
ratio to the value of the current ratio and press to store the value. The
initial S/R ratio should be between 1.14 and 1.18.
10.
Calibrate the instrument. Refer to the “
Calibration
” chapter in this
manual.
Use the following procedure to replace the chopper motor (
Figure 7–6
).
Equipment Required:
Chopper motor
Allen wrenches, 5/32-inch and 5/64-inch
Flatblade screwdriver
Equipment Damage
Some internal components can be damaged by small
amounts of static electricity. A properly grounded antistatic wrist strap
must be worn while handling any internal component.

1.
Disconnect the chopper motor power cable from the MOT DRV
connector on the measurement interface board.
2.
Follow the directions for “
Filter Wheel Replacement
” procedure, up to
and including Step 3.
3.
Remove the chopper motor from the motor plate by removing the two
screws that hold it to the motor plate.
4.
Install the new chopper motor by following the previous steps in
reverse.
5.
Install the filter wheel on the motor shaft, make sure that the set screw
seats on the flat of the motor shaft, and tighten the set screw.
6.
Calibrate the instrument. Refer to the “
Calibration
” chapter in this
manual.
