Underpan
Fitting the Door and Door Safe Edge Cable Arrangement
Fitting the Underpan
2. With the door closed
the springs should not be
compressed.
Compression only starts
as the door opens.
3. The door cables
should be secured with
a loop within the car
side which will enable
free movement.
No other cables should
be attached to the door
cables.
4. The other cables
in the area should
be routed to ensure
no interference with
the free movement
of the door cables.
1. Fix the door to the side hinges
and fit the door safe edge cables
through the side as shown.
IMPORTANT NOTE:-
Premature failure will occur if
these points are not adhered to.
1. Use wooden batons to hold the tensator
channels away from the car sides. Fix the
underpan to the channels with the csk screws
supplied. Remove the batons.
2. Fit underpan rear profile
into guides and fix to rear of
underpan.
5. To align the door, use the centre brace corner screws to
adjust the position of the car sides.
6. Wire up the door according to ‘Wiring Diagram 2’,
shown within the circuit diagram section of this manual.
