Door Operator Adjustment
Door closed and beak fully engaged:
x
Should be some free movement in latch cam i.e. door should stop on side frame (not
beak) – adjust on slotted hole if necessary
x
Switch roller should be free in latch cam cut out.
x
Once set, lock beak up tight.
Note:- Further adjustment is available on door hinges and centre brace jacking bolts.
Automatic Door Closer Set Up Procedure
1.
Ensure all wiring connections are as shown on ‘Wiring Diagram 3 – Harmony W/C Control
PCB (7 core colour)’.
2.
Disconnect motor terminals and power the actuator to its centre position. Re-connect the
motor terminals. The system should now operate when the door button is pressed.
3.
Adjust the current limit potentiometer (I lim) – VR3 on Sling PCB – to a state where the door
will reverse direction when a reasonable force is applied to it when it is operating.
4.
Reduce the limit switch override timer potentiometer – VR2 on Sling PCB – to zero and
operate the door. Set the close limit microswitch such that the door stops just as the door beak
is entering the latch, then increase the override potentiometer to increase the length of time the
controller overrides the close limit switch. This is to ensure the door is firmly closed without the
current limits operating.
5.
Adjust auto close potentiometer so that the door closes automatically after approximately 1
minute if door is left open (VR4).
6.
Finally to ensure closed limit switch connections are correct, press the door button to close
door and then press door button twice rapidly in succession. If the actuator ceases to operate
when door button is pressed again the common and N/C connections of J3 are wired incorrectly.
By reversing these connections the actuator will operate normally.
7.
Set the Open Limit Switch on the actuator (purple wires) to a position that gives complete
wheelchair access to the carriage (90 degrees to car side).
8.
Ensure the emergency detent operates correctly by releasing the door lock with the key and
applying reasonable pressure to the door. It should push open – adjust the springs as shown if
necessary to achieve correct setting.
