Dismantling and scrapping
The enclosures of the drives are made from recyclable
material as aluminium, iron and plastic. Each drive con-
tains a number of components demanding special
treatment, for example electrolytic capacitors. The cir-
cuit boards contain small amounts of tin and lead. Any
local or national regulations in force for the disposal
and recycling of these materials must be complied with.
1.5.1Disposal of old electrical and
electronic equipment
This information is applicable in the European Union
and other European countries with separate collection
systems.
This symbol on the product or on its packaging indi-
cates that this product shall be treated according to the
WEEE Directive. It must be taken to the applicable col-
lection point for the recycling of electrical and elec-
tronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed
of correctly, you will help prevent potentially negative
consequences for the environment and human health,
which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate
waste handling of this product. The recycling of materi-
als will help to conserve natural resources. For more
