2.3 POWER SUPPLY SECTION
2.3.1 MAINS CONNECTION
TP8-64 BUS
The mains cable (230V AC ± 10%, 50Hz) must be connected to the primary winding of the transformer (mounted on a
separate base).
The secondary winding of the transformer provides power supply of the control panel.
The power supply unit is a switching type supplying max. 2A current.
The power cord is not included. To avoid electric shocks during normal functioning ensure that:
z
the connection of the power supply to mains power is done by high insulation cable with aluminium shielding
z
the power cord is connected correctly to the primary winding and fixed to the casing by means of the cable
retaining straps and clamps included.
CONNECTION OF PRIMARY WINDING
The power cord must be introduced into the control panel casing through the whole on
the rear.
Wire the power cord as follows:
z
phase (brown) to the terminal L next to the fuse F1
z
neutral voltage (blue) to the terminal N
Fix the power cord by means of the cable retaining strap and clamp included.
PROTECTION
The primary winding of the transformer is protected against overcharge from mains by a
fuse.
CONNECTION OF SECONDARY WINDING
Connect the secondary winding of the transformer to the AC inputs of the CPU board.
WARNING
The control panel is not equipped with a mains switch. Thus, it is compulsory installing a bipolar mains
switch (230V~) next to the control panel. Being subject to contact pressure, the power cord must in no
case be connected by soft welding to the terminals.
