TP8-64 BUS
- Installer Manual
Programming by console
5-5
5.3.3
DEFINITION OF THE ZONE TYPE
The zone type is selectable from:
z
Excluded zone
The zone is not in any program.
z
Direct zone
The zone is enabled upon arming of the program it is included in. It permits the
immediate detection of alarms without taking into account any entry or exit time
programmed (once armed the zone is ready to detect alarms after 20 seconds).
During the arming phase, if the zone is open, it can be excluded manually.
z
Delayed zone T1
The zone is not enabled for the detection of alarms immediately on arming of the
program it is included in, but only on expiry of the exit time programmed. During
the arming phase, if the zone is open, it may be excluded manually. If the zone is
opened while the system is armed, the alarm is released upon expiry of the entry
time.
z
Delayed zone T2
As T1 but with different entry time.
z
Technical zone
The zone is always enabled (even if the control panel is disarmed). This zone
type is useful for the detection of fire/gas alarms or as an expansion of the tamper
line of the control panel.
z
Hold-up zone
The zone is always enabled (even if the control panel is disarmed). It releases a
silent alarm (no alarm visual nor acoustic alarm signaling) with maximum priority.
WARNING
During the input-zone association, the zone list shows only those zones that are not yet associated.
It is not possible to associate the same input to two different zones.
In this case, you would have to cancel the existing association by selecting
Not associated
first,
before you are allowed to reassociate the input to the zone requested.
Zone 001
Type
WARNING
TP8-64 BUS, different from the other control panels by TECNOALARM, can control up to 64 zones
which can be freely selected among those provided by the hardware modules connected.
Zone:
By zone is intended the area protected by a determined device independently from its
position.
The control panel is able to control a total of 64 zones.
Every zone in the list may belong to any of the hardware modules installed, i.e. every
zone is associable to any of the system's zone inputs in any order whatsoever.
Input:
By input is intended the physical input contact of a hardware module installed, i.e. the
zone input the detectors and contacts are physically wired to.
Upon zone-input association, imagine yourself programming the channels of your television. You will
associate channel 1 to a determined network which is transmitting on a determined frequency,
channel 2 to another network transmitting on another frequency and so on. Once you have
programmed the all the channels, you will no longer need to search the networks by scrolling the
frequencies but you will simply press the corresponding key on your remote control.
The zone-input association of the control panel works the same. Once you have associated the
zones to the zone inputs of the modules installed and configurated them, the control panel will
identify them exclusively by their name.
Example
Zone 1
-
input 1 of the CPU board
= entrance
Zone 2
-
input 2 of the CPU board
= gate
Zone 3
-
input 3 of the CPU board
= garage
Zone 4
-
input 1 of the local expansion board
= window living room
Zone 5
-
input 2 of the local expansion board
= window kitchen
Zone 6
-
input 4 of the expansion module 1
= living room
Zone 7
-
input 6 of the expansion module 2
= bedroom 1
...
Zone 64 -
input 3 of the radio expansion module
= studio 2
