KIP ANSWERING MACHINE
The control panel may be connected toghether with other
devices such as answering machines to the same telephone
line, which answer incoming calls with higher priority. In this
case, it is possible to program the skip answering machine
function. The skip answering machine function is enabled by
programming 17 rings. Set the priority of the answering
machine at more than 3 to 5 rings.
When call the control panel, procede as follows:

Dial the number and replace the receiver after the first ring
-
Call again after 6 but no later than 60 seconds from the first
call.
If the control panel receives the second call within 6 to 60
seconds from the first one, interrupted after the first ring, it
answers immediately.

PABX NUMBER
If the control panel is connected to a telephone line after a private automatic branch
exchange (PABX) switchboard, to capture the line it is necessary to dial a PABX
number of 1 to 16 digits.

CONFIGURATION OF THE CHANNELS
The incorporated telephone section provides 8 independent channels (A...H) that are
individually programmable for the transmission of the events to private persons as
well as monitoring stations.
Every channel can be programmed with a description, a principal and a reserve
telephone number, a transmission protocol and a proper ID code.
The principal telephone number is always called first and the reserve number is called
if no connection could be established under the principal one. If none of the two calls
is successful (either because there is no answer or because the line is busy), 4 more
attempts are made for each of them alternating the principal with the reserve number.
Every channel can be programmed so as to transmit alarm signaling or other data
using either digital protocols or pre-recorded vocal messages that are composed of
words taken from the onboard vocabulary. For digital data transmission, it is
necessary to define a digital protocol according to the kind of device (Tecnoalarm or
non-Tecnoalarm device) connected to and the ID code. The system is compatible with
the most commonly used digital protocols (see table).
