Plate panels
Just like the front and the back panel, the side panels are made of 6-mm clear polycarbonate (PC) glass, with overlap between the segments
to eliminate potential exposure to harmful shortwave UV irradiation during UV 254 decontamination. The right side panel is additionally
equipped with a cable duct, through which cables can be routed from the outside to the interior of the PC glass chamber. UV irradiation
cannot escape here because it has a separate PC glass cover.
Back plate
The back plate is made from 6-mm clear polycarbonate glass, with overlap between the segments to eliminate potential exposure to harmful
shortwave UV irradiation during UV 254 decontamination.
Multifunctional shelf
The multi-functional shelf is mounted on the PC back panel of the glass chamber indoors. It is used to set up samples and to store pipettes or
other additional tools. You can also store samples there that need to be decontaminated because the shelf is within the irradiation area of the
UV lamp.
Base panel
The base panel is made of a polypropylene blend that reflects UV light, just like the front, side and back panels do.
Front door
The front panel is made from 6-mm clear polycarbonate glass with overlap between the segments to eliminate potential exposure to harmful
shortwave UV irradiation during UV 254 decontamination. The front door can be opened in two steps.
› The opening of the lowest segment facilitates the user´s work process at the GuardOne® Workstation.
› Further opening the middle segment makes it easier for the user to clean and maintain the PC glass chamber from the inside.
It is not recommended to completely open both segments for the work process, as a clean air environment cannot be guaranteed other-
wise.
The front door is additionally equipped with a magnetic switch, which registers when the front door is open. In the case of an open front door,
the UV light source is automatically switched off. The same applies to the airflow: When closing the front door, the blower automatically
stops.
