Property damage
NOTICE!
Property damage due to operation of the touchscreen with sharp objects!
The display on the top housing has a touch screen. Due to the pressure sensitivity, there is a risk of scratches or breakage.
- Never operate the touch screen with sharp objects, for examples biros.
- Always operate the touchscreen with your fingers. Apply only light pressure.
NOTICE!
Property damage to plastic materials during prolonged irradiation!
Some types of plastic, such as pipette tips, can become brittle when exposed to prolonged irradiation.
- Do not place plastic containers that are not UV stable in the GuardOne® Workstation during prolonged exposure to UV light.
NOTICE!
Broken screws due to misposition!
If inserted out of position, screws can break out. This can cause damage to the top housing and the glass chamber of the
GuardOne® Workstation. A decontaminated work environment can no longer be guaranteed.
- Carefully insert the screws into the aligned holes during installation.
- Follow the instructions in this operating manual. Install the PC glass chamber and the top housing of the GuardOne®
Workstation carefully.
Dangers to the environment
ENVIRONMENT!
Dangers to the environment due to incorrect handling of environmentally hazardous substances!
Incorrect handling and disposal of environmentally hazardous substances can cause significant damage to the environment.
- Always observe the instructions for handling environmentally hazardous substances and their disposal below.
- If environmentally hazardous substances escape into the environment accidentally, take appropriate measures immediately.
If in doubt, inform the responsible authority about the damage and ask for appropriate action to take.
The following environmentally hazardous substances are used:
Cleaning liquids
Solvent-based cleaning agents contain toxic substances. They must not escape into the environment. Disposal must be carried out by a
disposal specialist and is the responsibility of the operator of the GuardOne® Workstation.
UV lamps
Defective UV lamps are hazardous waste. They contain quicksilver and cannot be recycled. Contact your in-house or local waste manage-
ment system representative for assistance or further information.
