8.2 Errors
NOTICE!
Property damage due to ignoring error messages!
In the event of an error message, any further use of the GuardOne® Workstation may result in material damage to the device and
the sample material.
- Contact your Starlab service technician for further assistance.
- Contact details may be found by pressing Starlab Service & Order Information on the status page.
Status errors inform about property damage that prevents the
continued operation of the GuardOne® Workstation until repair
by a Starlab service technician.

Blower breakdown
(Error 1)
- Blower breakdown means that the GuardOne® Workstation
has detected a malfunction of the blower motor.

Backpressure sensor failure occurred
(Error 2)
- Backpressure Sensor failure occurred means that the
GuardOne® Workstation has detected a malfunction of the
airflow control.
›
CPU memory block failure occurred
(Error 3)
- CPU memory block failure occurred means that the GuardOne®
Workstation has detected a malfunction of the device memory.
Behaviour in case of a status error

Identifying non-automatically monitored malfunctions
UV light does not work
In the case of a malfunctioning UV lamp, check the correct fitting of the magnetic switch cable.
1.
Open the front door of the top housing.
2.
Check the connection of the magnetic switch cable.
3.
Make sure that the magnetic switch cable is connected.
4.
Close the front door carefully.
Make sure that the magnetic switch cable does not get caught between the front and the side flap of the top housing.
5.
Enter the settings for the UV lamp again.
In case the UV lamp is still not working, contact your local Starlab sales representative or Starlab service technician. For contact

Incorrect date and time display
If the time and date entered is not saved or is no longer correct after switching the device off and on again, the battery must be exchanged.
An incorrect date or time does not affect the function of the GuardOne®.
The exchange of the battery is described under 7.2, „Maintenance – battery exchange“. If problems with the date and time persist, please
contact your local Starlab sales partner or Starlab service technician. Contact information can be found on the status screen by
pressing „Starlab Service & Order Information“.
