Contamination indications
NOTICE!
Contamination of the pre-filter due to contamination of the air!
Due to the contamination of the air, the pre-filter can become dirty. A sterile working environment inside the GuardOne® Work-
station is no longer guaranteed.
- To ensure optimal function of the pre-filter, it is recommended to visually inspect the pre-filter in regular intervals.
- It must be changed as soon as it visibly dirty, latest after a period of 6 months.
NOTICE!
Contamination of the inside area of the GuardOne
®
Workstation due to bacterial contamination!
Due to contamination of the work area, a repeated operation without cleaning the work area can lead to contamination or
destruction of the sample material and falsification of the results.
- It is necessary to clean the inside area and the work surface after each use.
Property damage
NOTICE!
Top housing damage by placing objects on it!
If laboratory materials, samples or liquids are placed on the surface of the top housing, damage may occur if something gets
into the prefilter and the HEPA filter.
- The surface of the top housing is not suitable as a storage area.
7.2
Maintenance
Replacing the pre-filter
The pre-filter of the GuardOne® Workstation is located at the top of the device above the blower motor. Its function is to reduce the particle
load for the main HEPA filter. To ensure the optimal function of the pre-filter, it is recommended to visually inspect the pre-filter in regular
intervals. It must be exchanged as soon as it visibly dirty, latest after a period of 6 months.
NOTICE!
Property damage due to non-simultaneous replacement of pre-filter and HEPA filter!
Only replacing the HEPA filter but not the pre-filter can result in damage to the new HEPA filter.
- Always replace the pre-filter along with the HEPA filter.
1. Lift the protective cover off from the top housing.
2. Remove the used pre-filter.
3. Insert the new pre-filter. In the 48“ version, you replace two pre-fil-
ters side by side.
4. Re-insert the protective cover to fix the new pre-filter in place.
