waves from mobile phones.
WARNING
Do
P l e a s e o b s e r v e t h e fo l l o w i n g
guidelines in medical facilities.
Do not take the FOMA terminal
into the operating rooms, ICU
(Intensive Care Unit), or CCU
(Coronary Care Unit).
Power off the FOMA ter minal
inside hospital wards.
Power off the FOMA terminal in
the lobby and other places if
there are any electronic medical
e q u i p m e n t o p e r a t i n g i n t h e
vicinity.
Follow the instructions of each
medical facility when they specify
a re a s f o r b i d d i n g t o u s e a n d
carrying a mobile phone.
If you set the automatic power-
on function, cancel it before
powering off the FOMA terminal.
Do
Power off the FOMA terminal in
crowded places such as rush-hour
trains. There may be a person with
an implantable cardiac pacemaker or
implantable cardioverter defibrillator
near you.
The radio waves from the FOMA
terminal may affect the operation
of implantable cardiac pacemaker
o r i m p l a n t a b l e c a r d i o v e r t e r
defibrillator.
Do
If you use an implantable cardiac
p a c e m a k e r o r i m p l a n t a b l e
cardioverter defibrillator, keep the
FOMA terminal more than 22 cm
away from the implant at all times.

of implantable cardiac pacemaker

defibrillator.

If you need to use electronic medical
equipment other than implantable
cardiac pacemaker or implantable

at home, check with the relevant
m e d i c a l e l e c t r o n i c e q u i p m e n t
manufacturer or vendor whether the
operation may be affected by radio
waves.
